[how can you help?]

There is an amazing truth taught to us by the Apostle Paul in the book of Galatians chapter 6.  It says starting in verse 6, “Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.  Do not be decieved, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows to his flesh, that he will also reap.  For he who sows to the flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”  Paul continues by encouraging them to continue to do good! He says it like this, “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.  Therefore as we have the oppurtunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are in the household of faith.”

We want to be a ministry dediated to sowing into this same good soil with what God has given us.  Our hearts are for revival. To see lost souls healed and saved on the campus of Oklahoma State University.  Our heart is to sharpen one another as men, as an army that the Lord is establishing, to allow him to “train our hands for battle, and our fingertips for war.” [psalm 144]  The thing is we are the body of Christ, His bride.  While some of us may have time to sow into the soil, others of us may have the skill to, and even the financial resources to help get the supplies the farmer needs in the first place, and then continue the work. 

In much the same way The Jesus House wants to be a ministry that bears much fruit.  Our aim is that through the testimonies to come this fall, that you will be able to share in our experience by taking part in the journey.  This is your invitation persay, to sow into good soil.  In fact, there is no way we can do this without your help.  There is no way we want to try.   There are so many ways to get involved and sow into what God is orchestrating through this house.  Here are some of the suggestions we have come up with below.  We ask most of all however, that you would pray to the Lord of the Harvest, to the Father of every good and perfect gift, and ask Him how you can be apart of His heart with the Jesus House.  Then get in contact with one of the leaders so we can get you plugged in.

Here are the areas of support we have been praying for:  

1]prayer support:  We are looking for people with a heart for prayer and intercession to remember us in their prayers.  We will be prayer walking the house and the city many times before the beginning of the fall semester and throughout the school year.  We will also be including a section in this website about specific prayer points you can help pray through with us. 

2]skills/service:  We are looking and praying for people with a servants heart to come help us get the house in order.  As you can see through the pictures, there is still a lot to do.  The whole house needs to be painted, the roof fixed hopefully by our rental company, much of the carpet needs to be replaced, and the list goes on and on.  A lot of the work is just some good old fashioned down and dirty cleaning.  We are also looking for people with specific skill sets to help with things that might take a little more effort. [The floor/carpet/mold/bugs?]  Those are the bigger things at least.  There is definitely some water damage that has to be attended too.

3]Donations:  This is really broad.  Could be anything from just coming in and donating your time to love and pray on the guys of the house to bringing by food, etc.  We are in desperate need at this first stage to obtain things like paint, lumber, hardware, lighting, cleaning supplies, painting supplies, locks for all the bedroom doors, etc.  If you could help us out in this area, it would be awesome!  Other things you might consider donating are  furniture, rugs, art, books, etc. Whatever God lays on your heart.

4]Financial Support:  Some of you may feel lead to give to us financial.  All money donated will be used SPECIFICALLY to get the house in working order, maintain the premises, and to do outreach in the community.  One of our favorite things to do is to host  house party’s, art shows, concerts, and other outreach opportunities.  All these things take  money. May you be blessed with the abundance of His presence, His love, and His provision.
